EV (2W) Sales: Sept'25 Part-2 report

As expected, the Part-2 of Sept'25 (11th to 20th), was one of the dullest periods for Sales of vehicles. Primarily because it was entirely a part of the 15-days inauspicious period of PITRU-PAKSHA, just before the Navratri period. The 13 EV (2W) manufacturers, whose VAHAN data I am tracking, managed to Register just 23,152 units together, during Part-2 of Sept'25. This was ~ 24% lower than even the figures of Part-1.

The sequence of Top-5 players in the EV (2W) segment did not change from Part-1 to Part-2. TVS Motor continued to lead the table & OLA Electric remained in No.5 position even in Part-2. While TVS Motor & Ather Energy experienced some drop in Market Share during Part-2, compared to Part-2, the remaining 3 manufacturers saw a small improvement each. Bajaj Auto seems to be ready to challenge TVS Motor for the Top-spot in the Table in the upcoming periods.

For the month so far, Bajaj Auto is in a comfortable No.2 spot, having expanded it's lead over Ather Energy in Part-2. TVS Motor's position at the Top will be challenged soon. Let's see if it's newly launched ORBITER model can help it stay at the Top. Hero MotoCorp continues to maintain a small lead over OLA Electric for the No.4 spot in Market Share for Sept'25 so far. Let's see if OLA Electric is able to turbo-charge it's sales figures again in the Final Part of the month.

With just 1 more day to go before the start of Navratri period, I am sure all Automobile manufacturers will be ready with good Inventory pile-up & expecting a big jump in daily Registrations. I will continue updating Daily Sales Data from VAHAN in my Spreadsheets, which I have shared here. Let's see how things progress in Part-3 of Sept'25.
