Part-1 of Sept'25 (1st 10 days of the month) has been a mixed bag for EV (2W) Sales, as per VAHAN Data. Even though the figures for Sept'25 Part-1 are over 10% higher than Part-1 of Aug'25, there has been a nitoceable drop in Daily Registrations post the announcement of GST cuts on ICE-powered vehicles. The 15-days preceding the start of Navratri are also considered inauspicious by many in India, which could be an additional reason for lower figures during these days. Hopefully things will get better along with Navratri.

Coming to the figures, Bajaj Auto is back to it's No.2 spot commanding 19.6% market share in Part-1 of Sept'25. TVS Motor continues to lead with 22.4% share. OLA Electric is dropped down to No.5 spot with 12.2% share, just behind Hero MotoCorp's 12.5% figure. Ather Energy continues it's good show in No.3 spot with 18.3% share.

I am sure all these manufacturers are preparing themselves for the extended Festive season, starting with Navratri from 22nd Sept. TVS Motor has recently launched a new electric scooter model to compliment it's highly successful iQube series. Bajaj too has introduced updated 3500 series models over recent months. Ather recently provided some interesting updates to it's Rizta model. OLA Electric is hoping that it's recently launched Electric Bike will improve it's numbers going forward.
Let's see if we see any significant action in Part-2. Possibly things will only improve from 22nd Sept onwards when the next Festive season starts.
